"Grace"
This pretty little girl comes in her own wooden
presentation box, that has been lovingly comb-painted with cream and turqouise.
Grace seems to be standing in front of her father's estate. Isn't it lavish?
She stands about 7" tall inside this box. Her face and hands are made from
papier-mache'. Her hair is raw flax that has been dyed with walnut ink,
and tied with a pretty blue string. Her dress and flower are both made
from hand-colored crepe paper. I have lovingly painted her sweet features
and added a protective glaze. She can come out of her box to stand on her
own with her wooden stand. She is made to reflect the 18th century "French
Carton Dolls" - see about them here.
Her crepe flower is attached to her hand with
a paper-wrapped wire. She has an aura of sweetness and grace that you can
truly appreciate.

The kits come with three different sheets
of 12"x12" coordinating decorative paper, a length of ribbon, small bit
of stuffing, a square of cloth, a square of felt, a craft stick, all the
cardboard you need to complete one box, a flower embelishment, 1 pin, the
directions and the patterns. You will need a glue stick, hot glue, masking
tape, scissors, a ruler, a pencil, a small hole punch (eyelet optional),
needles for the needle keep, and thread scissors for the scissor keep.
Colors are just almost too numerous to contain
here, as each kit is unique! Choose generally from these color groupings:
blues, greens, pinks, reds, and oranges. TRUST ME, the patterns and colors
are juicy and alive and just so much fun to create with!
Each kit comes with enough to complete one hatbox
pincushion, one slipper scissor keep and one needle book.
There are only 16 kits at this time, so hurry!

"Slipper Pincushion Kit"
I make these little slipper pincushions often
for the gift inside the stationery boxes, and wanted to offer them to you
here as a kit. The picture shows a pair of little shoes covered in cloth,
but the kits I am selling to you here are covered in paper. The kit has
enough materials to create 4 of these little slipper pincushions. You will
get two sheets of 12" x 12" coordinating decorative paper, enough cardboard
to create 4 slippers, a bit of cloth, a bit of stuffing, string to hang
the pair together, pins, patterns and directions. You will need a glue
stick, a hot glue gun, scissors, ruler, pencil, and a small hole punch
(eyelets optional).
Colors are too numerous to be contained here -
choose from the general color schemes of blues and reds.

***"Closing
In"***
Some of my most favorite pieces of pottery are
brown with some kind of deep rustic blue flowers and birds quickly painted
on them. I wanted to create a piece that reflected the homey-cozy feeling
I get when I see them and get to drink a steaming cup of coffee from them.
Deeply textured, rich browns, blues and creams.
